- Introduction
GRHC Materials are using the Zebra Handheld TC52X device. This device is used to scan equipment into the Steris SPM database for tracking the cleaning cycles and to issuing sterilized equipment to specific areas within the company. The purpose of this document is to prepare the handheld device for use by the department.

- Create Service accounts in AD to allow the device to connect to GRHC Wi-Fi.

Downgrading from Android 13 to 11

- The above file is in the following location: \\grhc.local\shares\software\zebra\material’s zebras\downgrade from Android 13 to 11\ HE_FULL_UPDATE_11-64-10.00-RG-U00-STD-HEL-04.zip
- Our next action is to transfer the file above to each of devices using the USB cable. What we will do is to downgrade via Stagenow.
i. Pre-requisites:
1. File must not be extracted and .zip must be visible
A. Enable USB file transfer by going to settings, connected devices. USB - Transfer file from your PC to Device root directory (not into any folders).

Presets before applying applications
- Go to Network & Internet
a. Click on Private DNS and turn it off. This sets the phone’s MAC address to be used instead of a random MAC. - Go to Display settings.
- Set the screen timeout to 30 min
- Go to about phone.
- Go to device name and rename it to MMXX (XX being the number of the device.)
- Go to Network & Internet
- Turn on Wi-Fi (if needed)

Select GRHC-WIFI

Insure the following settings are set.
- EAP Method: PEAP
- Phase 2 Auth: MSCHAPV2
- CA certificate: do not validate
- Identity: Username(IE MM23)
- Password: (Found in Delenia)

Insure the following settings are set.
- Go to Settings
- Click on System
- Click on Advanced

Click on System Updates

In the upper right of the screen click on the cog
- Slide the automatic system updates to the left, if needed.
- Slide the system update to the left.

Install INFOR Software

If not already done enable USB File transfer. You can do this by doing the following;
- Enable USB file transfer by going to settings, connected devices, USB, enable file transfer
- Enable USB file transfer by going to settings, connected devices, USB, enable file transfer

All .apks are located in \\grhc.local\shares\software\zebra\Material’s Zebras
- AndroidShell.apx
- MPC.apk
- RAD.apk
- POU.apk

If not already done enable USB File transfer. You can do this by doing the following;
- On your PC open File Explorer and you should see on the left side of the screen “This PC”. Under you should see TC52X. Open clicking on TC52x this opens and you will see internal shared storage.
- Copy all the apks into the root folder.
- Install AndroidShell.apk, then install each of the other apks there is no specific order to install the apks.
- Next, go to all apps by swiping up on the phone screen. Touch the Three lines in the upper left of the screen. Select the phone close to the bottom of the screen. It should be MMXX, XX being the number of the handheld. (IE: MM23).
- You should now be in the root directory of the phone. You should be seeing the apks that you installed. Start by installing the Androidshell.apk first then install each of the other apks.
- Once installed, get to the main screen by clicking on the small white dot at the bottom of the screen.
- You will see multiple ICONs labeled MSCM, RAD, MCP, and POU. Remove, not uninstall, all icons except MSCM.
- Click on the MSCM icon to start the program. You will not log in yet; this is just to complete the install process.
- From the PC, open file explorer (see step 2)
- Click on the android folder, then Data, then the com.infor.mscm.androidshel folder, then files. Copy the mscmservers.json file here.
- Launch the MSCM and login. (check with Chuck for an account)After you log in the first time you will be asked to upgrade the apps. Follow the prompts and install the upgrades.
- Open each app and select allow, this will only happen the first time you start the app.
- Click on the Three line to view the menu verify that there is a menu and select Back to App menu
- Do this for each app on the MSCM main window.

Installing EHS manually.
a. Connect device via USB to the PC.
b. Verify that you can access the Device from the PC.
c. Open separate file explorer window on PC and access the Device root file folder.- Copy .apk file from \\grhc.local\share\software\Zebra \Material’s Zebras\EHS_060020\EHS_060020.apk to Device’s root file folder.
- On device, locate in the file browser app and launch the APK file.
- Verify that EHS icon is on the device desktop.

EHS Setup
a. Log into EHS by tapping the three dots and click on admin login (default password is blank. This will be set later in the process.)- From the same admin menu, select preferences.
- Select title and change. Type the name of the device that you gave the device earlier in step 2.
- Set foreground service to auto launch.
- Set USB debug disable.
- Set recent apps access disable
- Disable all apps that are not required for use with INFOR. (IE: Google products, phone, calendar, messaging, and the like.)
- The only programs that should not be checked is Battery, RAD, MCP, POU, MSCM, and Camera.
- Exit preferences this should take you back to the desktop with all the icons still available.
- Press and hold each icon that you want on the user desktop until you see “add to user”, once you see “add to user” you can release. Insure only Battery, MSCM, and Camera is available to the user. If you make a mistake and accidentally add an icon, press and hold and this will remove the selected icon from the user desktop.
- Lock down Device
- To set EHS to be the default desktop open Settings > apps > Enterprise Home Screen to make this the default launcher.
- Go to admin and select reset password. Password can be found in Delenia (under Materials Handhelds Admin Password)
- Verify that required icons are accessible when device is in user mode.

Factory Reset
Scan the below 2D Factory Reset barcode using the StageNow client (pre-installed).
a. Use this only if you are having issues with the device that cannot be repaired through conventional methods. This will wipe all the software except for the OS. Once done you will have to follow the steps from the beginning of this document.
